A game by Ant Dream LLC
Impostor.Trust no one at the table.
Impostor is a pass-and-play party game for one phone and a room full of friends. Everyone gets a secret word, except the Impostors, who have to bluff their way through the round without getting caught.

How it plays
One phone, four steps, a lot of finger-pointing.

Step 1
Get your role
Pass the phone around. Civilians share a secret word, Impostors get a similar word or none at all, and Mr. White gets nothing.

Step 2
Give clues
One by one, say a word or phrase linked to your secret word. Sound natural — and listen for who is faking it.

Step 3
Vote someone out
Talk it over, then vote as a group to eliminate the player you trust least.

Step 4
Score and repeat
Points add up every round — 5 for Civilians, 15 for Impostors, 30 for Mr. White — until the leaderboard crowns a winner.
Roles
Three roles. Only one of them knows the word for sure.

Civilian
Knows the secret word. Wins by voting out every Impostor and Mr. White.

Impostor
Has a similar word, or none. Wins by surviving until one Civilian is left.

Mr. White
Knows nothing. If voted out, one correct guess of the word still wins the round.
Game modes
Pick how sneaky the Impostors get to be.

Original
Impostors know they are the Impostor, but get no word or hint. Civilians all share the same word.

Mysterious
Impostors secretly get a similar word and do not know they are the Impostor. Nobody knows who is who.
Word packs
24 packs of secret words.
3 packs are free for everyone. Premium unlocks the rest, and every pack we add later. After Dark is for adults only.

The app
What you get, and what it costs.
- What it does
- Players pass the phone around to see their secret role. Then, one by one, everyone gives a clue about their word. Civilians try to spot who is faking it; Impostors and Mr. White try to blend in. The group votes someone out each round, and points add up on a leaderboard until a winner is crowned.
- Who it is for
- Friends, families, and anyone hosting a game night, a road trip, or a party — three to 24 players, and one phone is all the group needs.
- How it arrives
- An App Store download for iPhone and iPad. The whole game runs on the device: every word pack ships inside the app, and there is no account to create.
No account, no tracking
There is nothing to sign up for. Player names and game settings stay on your phone, and we run no analytics or advertising SDKs.
No ads, ever
The game is paid for by the optional subscription, not by showing you ads between rounds.
Works offline
Every word pack ships inside the app, so a game plays the same on a plane or in a cabin with no signal.
Billing goes through Apple
Premium is sold with In-App Purchase and billed by Apple. Cancel it any time from Settings on your iPhone.
